Parmesan Fries {Ramblings on Food}

8:00 AM

I am going to share a little secret with you guys: I am a dreadful cook. It's true; this girl can screw up Mac and Cheese from a box (and this is a fact). So, when I saw these Parmesan French fries here, I was a little hesitant to try them out. However, they just looked too yummy to not attempt. I found and easier recipe  here, and they were so easy that even a horrible cook like me didn't screw them up!

What you need: {3 potatoes, 1/4 cup of EVOO, 1/2 tsp of black pepper, 2tbsp of salt, 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan}

Set your oven to 400 degrees, and while waiting, wash and peel the three potatoes.

After they are peeled, cut them into half inch thick slices.

Then add a Tbsp of salt to a pot of water, add the fries, and bring to a gentle boil.

When they are 3/4 the way cooked drain them and put them in a large mixing bowl. Add the oil, pepper, and another tbsp of salt and mix the ingredients together.

Then, layout the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet.

Put them in the oven and check in on them until they are a light brown.

When they are, take them out of the oven and cover them with the cheese. After they are coated, put them back in the oven until they are dark and crispy. {This is a longer process than the recipe says}

When they are done, pop them out, sprinkle some italian seasoning, and.....

Bon Appetit!

  1. Haha, I can totally relate to ruining boxed Mac & Cheese...and somehow managing to mess up my grandma's cookie recipe and having the finished cookies taste like they're fried...??? But anyway, those fries look super yummy! I just may have to try them out and hope they turn out all right... :)
